A fun day and things that you never thought you would have to say....

Aunt Mandy has been dying to go to the St. Louis Science Center. And Uncle Steve won't take her...so we piled into the van and went there ourselves!

We had a lot of fun. And did alot of walking. Allison's little legs were getting very tired. But that is OK. We all needed the workout.

Katie liked just about everything. Emily was especially fond of the rocks and fossils that she could watch them dust on and and clean. Emily loves anything that involves rocks, fossils, and dinosaur bones. And Allison...well...Allison loved the dinosaur.

This isn't your average, everyday dinosaur. I am not sure what kind it is, but it is life-size. And it had just killed a 3-horned something that lay beside it. And they acted alive. This one roared and moved. And the dying one moaned and breathed. And was bleeding.

She loved it. Everytime we would pass it, she would say "Hi, dinosaur..." like she was making sure he knew that she was his friend.

And this falls under things that you never knew you would say to your child, before you actually had the children.

Emily was singing. Loudly. About the planets. And the solar system. I wasn't paying much attention until Katie pointed out what planet that Emily was focusing on. Yeah...you may have guessed it. Uranus.

Emily just learned what an "anus" is. And is very intrigued by this word. And what began as a song about Uranus evolved into a song about your anus, my anus, our anus....

So...I had to say..."We shouldn't sing songs about an anus." And I kept a straight face.

Parenting...the weirdest job you will ever do!!!

Oh my! LOL Who would have thought a simple trip to the museum would bring about that song? :D
